What Are We
WPU Cycling is a collegiate cycling club and team at Warner Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. We are registered with USA Cycling and are part of the Northwest Collegiate Conference.
Collegiate cycling clubs provide a wide arrange of disciplines ranging from road racing to cyclocross to downhill mountain biking to BMX and more. As we build this club we'll add disciplines as we grow. We're initially focusing on mountain biking.
Who Are We
WPU Cycling is led by Dr. Sean Benesh, Program Lead and instructor in the Digital Media and Communications program. Sean first got into mountain biking while in college. Later on, during grad school, he would work as a mountain biking guide over a 5-year stretch. He's a member of the Northwest Trail Alliance and part of the media and communications team. Sean is a certified mountain biking instructor through BICP.
